Joel L. Scheinert
Born February 12, 1937; admitted to bar, 1961, New York
Education: University of Pennsylvania (B.S., 1957); Harvard University (J.D., 1960)

Practice Areas: Litigation in all Courts, Probate, and Tax Certiorari

Joel L. Scheinert has been a partner in the firm for nearly forty years. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law School. His practice is concentrated on all types of litigation, as well as representing individuals and other entities with respect to real estate tax assessment reduction/exemptions.

Mr. Scheinert also has successfully represented numerous individuals with respect to probate and settling of estates. Being a former county legislator, Mr. Scheinert can offer a unique understanding with respect to issues involving local government.

James S. Kobb, with over 20 years experience as an attorney, concentrates his practice in real estate, zoning and landlord/tenant matters. He handles all types of closings ranging from the sale or purchase of a home to condominium units and cooperative apartments. Mr. Kobb has represented many clients with respect to real estate in New York City. Having served as an officer and member of the Board of Trustees of the Rockland Country Day School, Mr. Kobb is familiar with issues involving a fiduciary's responsibilities and obligations.
